Steel Support Systems
In most of today’s projects, steel
structure is becoming widely used on the
expenses of the traditional concrete
slabs. The distance between frames is
usually bigger that the acceptable
requirements of the false ceilings
hangers where the distance should not
exceed 1.2m. In such cases it is
mandatory to install secondary steel
support to the main frame to form a
suitable
sub-frame to which ceilings can
be installed.
In other cases and due to the congestion
of MEP works (mainly ducting), bridging
is required to respect the acceptable
required hanger spacing.
The use of bracing is also required in
many cases to strengthen the rigidity of
the supporting system to withstand the
required loads.
We at Cloisall have found solutions for
all the above by having our own Steel
workshop, manufacturing all types of C
Channels, L-Angles, Cleats and Brackets
utilized as secondary support, bracing
angles or bridging Channels.
This is done under the tight inspection
of the QA/QC engineer and the advice and
instruction of the structural engineer
who will decide the thickness, grade of
materials and other design criteria.
